GALLERY VISITS
The Gallery Visits are an important feature of the lecture study programme. These are arranged wherever possible and there is usually one visit each term on each course, with students divided into groups depending on the size of the space being visited. Visits take place after a lunchbreak following the morning’s lecture. Where appropriate, students are provided with full details, including a list, with room locations, of the items to be seen. Connexions makes no charge for these visits, but if the gallery makes an entry charge this is paid by the individual student.
Visits have included the Victoria and Albert
Museum, Tate Modern, Tate Britain and the
Tate Store, the British Museum, the National
Gallery, Apsley House, Shakespeare’s Globe,
the Theatre Museum and English National
Opera as well as private specialist galleries..
